Safeclean Annual Conference 2024

Safeclean held their National Conference on Saturday 24th February 2024 at the Leonardo Hotel in Hinkley.

The event was well attended, and the overall reaction was it was a very successful day.

The first section of the day was a presentation by Mark Potter (Guardsman Managing Director) who gave a full update on Guardsman Industries (Safeclean’s parent company) and the positive information he delivered was well received by the Safeclean franchisees.

The second section was a presentation by Mark Harvey (Safeclean National Franchise Manager) on developments within the Safeclean business as well as the stronger ties that Safeclean are building with Guardsman. This information was also very well received, and these two presentations set the positive tone for the rest of the day.

After a very enjoyable lunch Paul Pearce MBICSc from Country House Carpet Care Ltd presented a very interesting visual demonstration on various ways of cleaning and removing difficult stains on expensive carpet rugs.

The final section of the day was the Safeclean awards ceremony which is always an enjoyable way to end the business side of the conference.

Mark Potter presented awards on behalf of Guardsman to four Safeclean franchisees for the exceptional services they delivered to Guardsman, in taking care and looking after their warranty customers.

Mark Harvey then presented awards to four Safeclean franchisees who had excelled in developing their franchise - as well as promoting the Safeclean brand in such a positive manner.

All the winners were well deserved, and a special mention must go to the “Safeclean Franchisee of the Year” who was Nigel Lawrence (Safeclean West Midlands).

These are the words Mark Harvey spoke when he announced Nigel as the winner of this award:

“I consider this person a gentleman and all of the Network Support team agrees he is a pleasure to work with.

His knowledge of the business and industry is immense, and his input is always appreciated.

He is always available to offer constructive advice and supports any new strategies that we may implement.

He is a very worthy winner of this award, and it makes it extra special that it is his 40th anniversary with the company!

I am very pleased to announce the Safeclean Franchisee of the Year is… Nigel Lawrence”.

Nigel received a huge round of applause, and it was unanimous that he was a very worthy winner of this award.

Nigel commented “I am so pleased to receive this award - it was unexpected but nonetheless I feel truly honoured. I have enjoyed all the years I have been with the company and there now seems to be such a buzz about Safeclean and the future of the business looks so positive. Thank you for this award and it will take pride of place in my office”.
