Working with Christie's Auction House
For several years, Robert Loomes of Safeclean Harrow has been the trusted supplier of upholstery and carpet cleaning for Christie’s Auction House in London.
This is due him working in conjunction with some high end retailers that lend furniture to Christie’s for special auction events.
Robert was called in by Christie’s to remove some stains from some white sofas and ottomans that were being used in the display room for the Jeff Beck: The Guitar Collection. Stain removal was required as the collection was going to be featured on the ITV news. Robert even joked with Network Support saying that he was on the news! (He wasn’t, just the furniture he cleaned was!)
The stain removals went exceptionally well, Robert left the furniture looking pristine. You can see a glimpse of one of the ottomans Robert cleaned in the attached screenshot.
The entire collection sold for a total £8,727,284 at auction on 22 January 2025.
